Hourly to salary converter

Convert between hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly pay.

Amounts are gross and in any currency. Daily pay assumes a five-day working week. Include paid holidays by using 52 weeks per year.

Hourly to salary converter: how it works

An hourly to salary converter turns your hourly rate into weekly, monthly and yearly pay, or the other way round. This is useful when you compare a freelance rate with an employee salary or when a job advert quotes pay in a different period.

The formula behind the conversion

Yearly pay equals the hourly rate times hours per week times weeks per year. Monthly pay is the yearly amount divided by 12. For example, €20 per hour for 40 hours a week over 52 weeks is €41,600 a year, or about €3,467 a month.

Gross pay is not take-home pay

The result is before tax and social contributions. To see what you keep, enter the yearly amount in our net salary calculator. Freelancers should also allow for unpaid holidays, sick days and non-billable hours when setting a rate.
